Emoties is a wall-hanging and interactive tool for communicating emotions. Each emoties face is a removeable small pillow for holding, squishing or cuddling. Sometimes a little bit of hands-on comfort can open the door to a conversation or provide a safe way to recognize and hold an emotion. Emoties was created to give children (or adults!) a gentle, approachable way to explore and express their feelings—whether they’re verbal, nonverbal, still finding their words, or simply need a little extra support.

Designed for bedrooms, classrooms, family rooms, and other care and learning spaces, Emoties makes talking about feelings feel a little more natural, playful, and comforting.

As a mom of two, Jocelyn knows firsthand that helping little ones express their emotions isn’t always easy. When her daughters were talking toddlers, they didn’t always have the ability to explain why they felt angry, happy, scared, or sad. So she hand drew a simple chart that gave her daughters another way to communicate: they could point to the face that matched what was happening inside. One daughter was especially verbal and loved picture books, and the other loved to squeeze, hold, and explore different textures. That inspired Jocelyn (a graphic designer by trade) to take the idea one step further—turning the emotions into soft, detachable pillows that children can choose, hold, and squeeze while they process what they’re feeling.

In addition to the wall-hanging tool, Emoties has the potential to expand to other soft goods including throw pillows, backpack keychains, bedding, pajamas, totes, and apparel.
